Venetian Rewards tiers: what each one costs

Venetian Rewards sets status by Tier Points earned in a tier year that runs March 1 to the end of February: Sapphire at 3,000, Ruby at 20,000 and Diamond at 50,000. The Venetian publishes every earn rate. Slots earn 1 Tier Point per $4 of coin-in and video poker 1 per $10, but money spent at the resort on rooms, dining, shows, retail and spa earns 2 per $1. So Ruby is $80,000 of slot coin-in, $200,000 of video poker, or $10,000 of resort spend.

Sapphire (3,000)$1,500$1,500$12,000$30,000
Ruby (20,000)$10,000$10,000$80,000$200,000
Diamond (50,000)$25,000$25,000$200,000$500,000

Each cell is one kind of spend on its own, inside one tier year. Real plans mix them, and the calculator below adds them up. Table games earn 2 Tier Points per $1 of theoretical loss, which is the casino's own estimate of what your play costs it (average bet, hands per hour, hours, house edge). So the table column is already an expected loss, not a bet total. Above Diamond is Chairman, which is by invitation only.

Spend buys something. Play costs something.

The slot and video poker columns are coin-in, not cost. Most of what goes through a machine comes back, and what you lose on average is coin-in times the house edge.

TierSlots: expected loss at 7.74%9/6 Jacks or Better: expected loss at 0.46%Tables: theo
Sapphire$929$138$1,500
Ruby$6,192$920$10,000
Diamond$15,480$2,300$25,000

7.74% is what slot machines on the Las Vegas Strip actually held over the twelve months to May 2026, per the Gaming Control Board. That figure includes video poker, so reel slots alone hold more. 0.46% is 9/6 Jacks or Better with perfect play, which only applies if you find a 9/6 machine and play it right. The video poker trainer teaches that. Per Tier Point, slots cost about 31¢, good video poker about 4.6¢, and table play 50¢ of theo.

Resort spend is different. A dollar on a suite buys the suite, so the honest price is the spend you wouldn't have made anyway. A couple who books a few nights direct, eats at the resort and sees a show can put several thousand dollars toward Ruby without touching a machine. That spend also earns 2 Rewards Points per $1, and 1 Rewards Point is worth 1¢, so it returns 2% to spend at the resort. Slot play at Jade returns 0.25% of coin-in.

A mixed plan for Ruby: $5,000 on a direct-booked stay, dining and a show (10,000 Tier Points). The last 10,000 is $100,000 of video poker coin-in, about $460 expected loss at 0.46%, or $40,000 of slot coin-in, about $3,096 at 7.74%.

What each tier gets you

From The Venetian's benefits table. Jade, the free entry tier, gets member room rates (up to 5% off), points redeemable at restaurants, bars and resort outlets, and 10% off Canyon Ranch spa. Sapphire adds a 1.25x slot point multiplier, free self and event parking, a birthday gaming offer, early check-in when available, 12 pm late checkout, buy-one-get-one gondola rides, and 15% off retail and spa.

Ruby is the tier that pays for itself on a hotel stay. It adds complimentary resort fees when you book direct, free valet, suite upgrades when available, 2 pm checkout, one complimentary suite night and one entourage suite night a year, a $100 dining credit, two gondola rides, priority pool seating, TAO Beach and TAO Nightclub entry, 20% off retail and spa, a 1.5x slot multiplier, and one choice of a $150 airfare reimbursement, one round of golf, or a $150 spa credit.

Diamond doubles most of it: two suite nights and two entourage nights, a $200 dining credit, 4 pm checkout, airport transportation, VIP check-in, two Sphere Experience passes, 25% off retail and spa, a 2x slot multiplier, a tier match to World of Hyatt Explorist, and one choice of $450 airfare, golf for two, or a $300 spa credit. Invitation-only Chairman adds the Prestige Club lounge, Hyatt Globalist and all three choice benefits.

Sapphire is cheap: $1,500 of resort spend, or about $138 of expected loss on good video poker. Ruby is the one to price carefully. If you stay at The Venetian more than a few nights a year, the resort fee waiver and the suite nights can be worth more than the $920 that Ruby costs on 9/6 video poker. Diamond at $500,000 of video poker coin-in is a lot of hours. It's for people who are already there every month.
